Return to Sawmill - The Hidden Track

5-1-10

Perfect day in the end of May for getting dirty...third time I've tried this road, first time was a bit of a disaster...flat front made it a long day.

Second time was in the reverse direction, came home pretty beat up...something to be said for physical fitness.

Third tme's a charm.

Gee the bike felt good, I felt good, all was good.

ATGATT. I'm ready this time.

The Asian fellows stopped and asked for directions at the fork in the road below(?) Burnt Peak....

...somesing about "clampimg glound"...

.

I asked the one older fellow if he new how to use a camera, but ofcourse he did!

Total Super ADV Dude...

Burnt Peak or thereabouts...

Cranking along and down the other side, but everything went tits up for no particular reason.

WTF! How did I do this. DOAH!

Got outta that mess...someone said 'I never ride my big bike alone'...a phooey.

I have just enoigh strength at my age to barely pick the Orange Beast up...done it twice this month. Oahh my freekin' back.

Back down to the Old Ridge Route and the back way on Pine Canyon Road (N2).

A short hop over Munz Ranch Road from Lake Elizabeth. Not a poppies,

...but found a trail that led to an old horse track, odd yet surreal...

Lake Hughes I came across this pair of orange old schoolers for sale...hmmm...still the great bikes they where in my yout'...?

145 miles of nice weather and sololoboin'...good times.

yeah...

Ya wanna see?
